St. Louis, Missouri - Friday, August 26, 2011 - Belden Inc. (NYSE: BDC), a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission critical applications, announces the planned retirement of Gray G. Benoist, Sr. Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. H.P.C. "Henk" Derksen will be Mr. Benoist's successor and become Belden's Chief Financial Officer effective January 1, 2012.
Mr. Benoist joined Belden in August 2006 after having spent 28 years in various senior financial and general management roles across Motorola's portfolio of businesses.
Mr. Derksen served as Treasurer and Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis from January 2010 until July 2011. He is currently Vice President, Corporate Finance and has responsibility for investor relations, corporate accounting and information technology.

A certified public accountant, Mr. Derksen worked for PwC and Berk Accountants in the Netherlands. He served in various financial management roles in Belden's EMEA headquarters from 2000 until January 2010. His last position was Vice President, Finance & Shared Services. Mr. Derksen holds a masters degree in business and economics from Katholieke Universtiteit Brabant in the Netherlands.
